Behind the (Meat) Scenes
I like to spend my down time reading; not just anything, mind you; I like the food industry rags I get weekly. What a thrill to check my email and find the latest edition of GlobalMeatnews.com!
GMN provides “Breaking News on Global Meat Trading and Processing.” For example, after that little European brouhaha of horsemeat being labeled and sold as beef happened, they featured Horsemeat: learning the lessons of an avoidable crisis. Truly, it is a popular publication among meat mavens.
Case in point, this is what an Australian meat master had to say in praise of GMN: “Global Meat News helps me stay on top of world meat news and is helpful in my daily business.”
Indeed.
And in perusing the latest edition of FoodNavigator-usa.com (FN) which delivers “Breaking News on Food & Beverage Development” (is there any other kind?) I learned that Tetley, the tea syndicate, predicts that change is coming.
Within 10 years, Tetley fortune tellers predict that “the programmable Tea Tap will produce a cup of perfectly brewed tea at the touch of a button, giving tea-lovers the product they crave instantly, just the way they like it, without the need for a kettle.”
And in 10 short years, Tetley says, Master Tea Blenders will be on hand at Tea Bars serving “a variety of exotic flavors to eat, drink or inhale as desired.”
Inhale? I’ll just have water, thanks.
